Recipe website for international students that are living in Eindhoven:

My group and I (student grub hub) completed a project aimed at supporting international students in the Netherlands who face challenges with cooking and budgeting for food. Many of these students were relying on cheap, unhealthy options like instant noodles because they didn’t know what to cook or where to find affordable ingredients. We noticed there were few resources to help them navigate the food scene in the Netherlands, so we created a website that offered budget-friendly recipes, shopping tips, and guidance on where to find affordable ingredients. Furthermore, we provided opportunities for our users to create their own recipes, partake in community events, as well as discuss the recipes in comments. Our goal was to provide students with the tools and inspiration to cook tasty and nostalgic meals without exceeding their budget.

Making a website and optimizing the workflow for a pizzeria:

For this project, we as a group had to assist Mr. Panucci, an acquaintance of Mario and Luigi, who is interested in investing in their pizzeria to become part-owner. The pizzeria faced challenges due to Mario and Luigi's shouting, which worried customers and caused order confusion. To help resolve this, we created a website where customers could order pizza directly. On the same website, Mario and Luigi could view the orders received, and track which ones were in progress or completed. Additionally, we designed a smart oven using Arduino that notified Mario and Luigi via the website when a pizza order was ready. So this project required both back end and front end development.
